I don't understand why we treat cyclists like they're car drivers. What is this hypocrisy, that cyclists on sidewalks have more regulation than mopeds? All this crazy regulation, yet offering no real solution to actually improve accessibility and safety. Bike paths? Public transport? Wider footpaths? We'll most likely see pedestrian-cyclist incidents drop, but cyclist-traffic incidents rise. This is not an improvement.

Good job Taiwan, you found a solution to a non-existing problem. So now we need to share the road with cars and scooters? How about you go after cars parked on sidewalks or scooters using them as shortcuts. Riding a bike in the opposite direction is for safety ... I swear to god, the road infrastructure and traffic regulation agencies in this country are on crack 24/7.

What a lot of people in the West don't realize, is that Taiwan _is_ computers. TSMC, Acer, MSi, Foxconn, ASUS, ROG, Gigabyte, MediaTek, Cooler Master, AOC, Synology, Quanta, and more are _all_ Taiwanese companies. There's a near 90% chance that the CPU on the device you're watching this on was built in Taiwan. Even the world's biggest non-Taiwanese tech companies go to Taiwan to build their chips. NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Apple, Intel, AMD; all of them. Computer culture is huge in Taiwan. They basically built half the computers in the world.

as someone who uses youbike regularly, it would be great if we could focus on vehicle infractions rather than punish most riders just attempting to get from point A to point B. Make bike lanes, try to keep people from walking on them (when the sidewalk is large, around gongguan area near TaiDa).
